Co-Authoring: Joint Memories
Create memories together with multiple authors
Co-authoring lets multiple family members write a memory together. Perfect for shared experiences where everyone has a different perspective. Each co-author can edit, add photos, and contribute their unique voice to the same memory.
๐ How It Works
Start Co-Authored Memory
When creating a memory, click "Add Co-Authors" and invite family members. They receive notification and can join the editing process.
Collaborative Editing
All co-authors can edit the memory simultaneously. Changes sync in real-time. See who's editing and what they're working on.
Multi-Voice Sections
Use section headers to separate perspectives. "Mom's Version:", "Dad's Side of Story:", etc. Each voice adds richness.
Publish Together
When everyone's satisfied, any co-author can publish. All names appear as memory authors. Credit shared equally.

โ Frequently Asked Questions
How many co-authors can a memory have?
Up to 10 co-authors per memory. More than that gets chaotic. Consider breaking into separate related memories.
What if co-authors disagree on content?
Communication is key. Use comments to discuss. Can also split into separate memories with different perspectives.
Can I remove a co-author after adding them?
Yes, but only before publishing. Once published, all co-authors are permanently credited. This protects authorship integrity.
Do co-authors need to be family members?
They must have access to the tree. Invite them first, then add as co-authors. Can't co-author with non-members.
What happens if a co-author deletes content I wrote?
Version history saves everything. Can restore previous versions. Accidental deletions aren't permanent.
