Story Sparks: Writing Prompts
Get inspired to share your stories
Story Sparks are thoughtful writing prompts that help you remember and share stories you might otherwise forget. Instead of staring at a blank page, you get a specific question that unlocks memories.
๐ How It Works
Browse Story Sparks
Visit the Story Sparks section to see hundreds of prompts organized by theme: Childhood, Family, Career, Adventures, Everyday Life, and more.
Choose a Prompt
Pick a prompt that resonates: "What smell instantly brings you back to childhood?" or "Tell about a time you were proud of yourself." Click to start writing.
Write Your Response
The prompt appears at the top. Write, record audio, or add photos. The prompt helps focus your memory without being restrictive.
Save to Your Tree
When done, save the memory to any branch. The prompt becomes the title/context, and your story is preserved forever.

โ Frequently Asked Questions
Can I create my own custom prompts?
Yes! Go to Story Sparks > Create Custom Prompt. Write a question, save it, and it joins your personal collection.
Do I have to answer prompts exactly as written?
No! Prompts are springboards. If they trigger a different memory, follow that thread. The prompt just gets you started.
Can family members see which prompts I've answered?
They can see the memories you create, but not your full list of prompts. Unanswered prompts are private.
How often do new prompts get added?
We add new seasonal prompts monthly and special occasion prompts for holidays. Plus you can create unlimited custom prompts.
Can I use prompts to interview my grandmother?
Absolutely! That's one of the best uses. Read her a prompt, record her answer (audio or video), and save it as her memory.
